PRESS RELEASE
Jamaica Network of Rural Women Producers (JNRWP) is celebrating the success of Mango Valley, which was awarded 267,996 EURO to promote Rural Integrated Development and Enterprise; a participatory business model for Organic Agro-Tourism.
JNRWP is a non government umbrella organization which has a membership of 13 community based organization and over 150 individual members of which Mango Valley Visionaries is a member.

With the need to communicate with members more efficiently, the president and other members of the executive went on an island wide campaign with a view to selecting regional and parish representatives who would facilitate the flow of information to the members. The campaign was a huge success except that there were some parishes that were not adequately represented. However a significant number of interested persons became members, while a few existing members had there products on display. Some products were sold while others received helpful information on how to package their goods to meet requirements stipulated by the Bureau of standard. Here are the highlights from the meetings. |

The Central Regional Regional meeting was held at the RADA office in Mandeville. This region consist of Clarendon, St. Elizabeth and Manchester. In additional to members and potential members from the three parishes the following were in attendance: Mrs. Mildred Crawford – President JNRWP; Ms. Shauna Brandon - I.I.C.A rep. Ms. Audett Lawes - P.R.O; Ms. Avis Rowe – Treasurer; Mrs. Griffiths - RADA Manchester and Mrs. Faith Webster - Bureau of Women Affairs. The President expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the members for electing her as president of the network and vowed to do her best to elevate the current situation within the Network. Lunch and Transportation was provided by IICA. |

The Western Regional meeting was held at the RADA office in Mandeville. This region consists of Westmoreland, St James, and Hanover. Westmoreland and Hanover were not adequately represented. President, Ms Mildred Crawford; Assist. P.R.O, - Ms. Edna Edward; P.R.O. - Ms .Audett Lawes; I.I.C.A .rep.- Ms. Shauna Brandon were in attendance. Mrs. Williams of the Bureau of Women’s Affairs gave the CEDA presentation. |
