The Jamaica Network of Rural Women Producers (JNRWP) was launched under the patronage of Her Excellency, the Most Honourable Lady Cooke in May 1999. The JNRWP works alongside various stakeholders to foster economic and social development of rural women in Jamaica. The network’s vision is to empower and motivate rural women so that they may improve the quality of their lives and the overall welfare of their communities, thereby contributing to national development.

The JNRWP comprises over 250 rural women members across the island. These women are involved in a variety of entrepreneurial activities, including farming, craft and household items, agro-processing, services and retail.

The organization provides an opportunity for these women to network amongst each other and also offers exposure for their products and services through various expositions and media fora.  The organization provides an opportunity for these women to network amongst each other at times offer exposure for their products and services. The network has also been able to organize training in several disciplines to improve the knowledge, skills-base and operating standards of its members.

As the JNRWP continues to expand its reach across the island, the Network will be looking to engage more strategic partners to help enhance service delivery to its members. We invite interested persons to contact us to see how we can work together to improve the lives of Jamaica’s rural women.
